Description: Yongchun Shuixian, also known as Water Sprite or Narcissus tea, is a celebrated oolong tea from Yongchun County in Fujian Province, China. This tea is known for its large, dark green leaves that are tightly curled. It offers a rich, roasted flavor with sweet and floral notes, and a distinctive mineral undertone due to the mineral-rich soil of the Wuyi Mountains.

  • Ingredients: Large, dark green leaves from Yongchun Shuixian tea bushes

  • Process: Withering, rolling, oxidizing, and baking

  • Appearance: Dark, tightly curled leaves

  • Liquor Color: Bright amber

  • Flavor: Rich, roasted, sweet with floral and mineral notes

Brewing Instructions:

  1. Water Temperature: Use water at 90-100°C (194-212°F).

  2. Tea Quantity: Use 5-7 grams of tea leaves.

  3. First Infusion: Rinse the tea leaves with hot water for 5 seconds and discard the water to awaken the leaves.

  4. Steeping Time: Steep for 20-30 seconds for the first infusion. Increase the steeping time by 10-20 seconds for each subsequent infusion.

  5. Enjoy: Pour the tea into a cup and savor the rich, roasted, and floral flavors. Yongchun Shuixian can be steeped multiple times, revealing new layers of flavor with each infusion.
