What information do we collect and why?

Emails

If you have subscribed to our mailing list, you will have been prompted to give your permission for us to send you occasional emails about exhibitions and events, including invites to shows and other updates/news related to our work and website. Your information is stored and processed by the third-party Mailchimp, whose Privacy Policy you can read here.

If you contact us direct or fill in the form submission on our Contact page, your email will be directed and processed through Google Mail. You can read Google's Privacy Policy here.

Order & Payment Information

When you purchase something from our website, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, shipping and billing address, email address and phone number through Squarespace's secure checkout. This information is securely stored and used only for the purposes of fulfilling and shipping your order.

If you buy something through our Site, your payment will be processed securely through either Stripe or Paypal, depending on which method you opt for at checkout. All of Squarespace’s built-in e-commerce tools are compliant with PCI-DSS, which means your credit card data is encrypted at all times and never handled or stored by Squarespace or us directly.

Activity Logs

When you visit our Site, it automatically collects certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and geographical location. Additionally, as you browse the Site, it collects information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. This information allows us to understand how you use our website and how we can make it better.

Our website is hosted on Squarespace. They provide us with the online gallery/e-commerce platform that allows us to advertise and sell our artworks and services to you. Like many sites, we store cookies on your computer when you visit the website in order to improve your experience of using it. These cookies do not include any information personally identifiable to you, but they can be used to help us personalise your experience of the site.

This privacy policy refers only to the Yushu website. Any other sites that we link to are subject to their own privacy policy.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
Additionally any information collected is solely for the use of Yushu and is not shared by us at any time. All third-parties who collect your information including, Squarespace, Stripe, Paypal and Mailchimp, do so only to perform the services described above and are subject to their own Privacy Policies.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
